Grégory ROBIN

Gregory Robin has been involved in the world of painting since childhood, and developed
a visual sensibility at an early age. A drummer for ten years in several bands, he gave up
his drumsticks for a camera in the early 2000s.
Alongside his personal exhibitions, mainly portraits, he specializes in concert photography.
His visual research led him to other mediums such as Super 8, with which he took his first
steps behind the camera.
From 2007, he devoted himself entirely to directing. Music and photography, rhythm and
image, allow him to combine everything in his filmmaking. A portraitist at heart, he
expresses himself through creative documentaries, with a predilection for marginal worlds
and fragile characters. His interest in manipulating genres leads him to give reality a style
sometimes close to fiction.
In 2016, he signed his first fiction, “Someone’s son”, in which we find the themes that are
dear to him. At the same time, he continues to produce numerous short forms for music
and live performance, as well as experimental work.
